Dance Styles

There are many dance styles available, and today it is not uncommon to see a Tango, Cha Cha Cha or Swing dance performed by bridal couples. Dancexcite offers a variety of dance styles, and can advise you on dance suitability and music. Some popular styles are:

Bridal Dance Options

Dancexcite offers several types of wedding dances:

- Themed
- Choreographed
- Free Style

These options greatly depend on how much time you have available, your natural dance ability, and your chosen dance style. This should be decided upon within your first two lessons, if not before.

Themed

We have developed our own choreographed dances especially for bridal couples. They are original and simple combinations suitable for anyone, and can be adapted to suit individual couples. They provide an alternative to those who are looking for something fun and unique.

- Dirty Dancing……………………..Mambo/Samba/Salsa
- The Scent Of A Woman…………...Tango
- We also Create a Choreography to your chosen Style: Salsa, Rock'n'Roll, Cha Cha we can even cater for Hip Hop into your Chore if you want really have a fun Break in the dance..

For a themed dance we recommend you allow a minimum of 6-8 lessons.

Choreographed

Our choreographies are always designed uniquely for individual couples, and are completely adaptable. We teach you not only a routine, but how to adapt your dance to make it whatever you want.
We generally include one or more highlights throughout the dance to
make it fun and exciting for you and your guests.

You will never be forced to do anything you do not want to do. They can be as simple or elaborate as you would like, depending on how much time you have, and you dance ability.

For a Choreographed dance we recommend you allow a minimum of 4 lessons for a simple and elegant routine, or 6-8 lessons for a slightly more intricate routine.

Free Style

This is a technique great for not only your bridal dance, but also for social dancing. It is about learning the individual dance steps, how to lead and how to follow. By the end of your dance lessons, you will be able to combine you steps in anyway you please.

To be confident in free style we recommend a minimum of 6-8 lessons, and 8-10 lessons for more complex steps and styles.
