Dance Assistant
In 2003 at the age of 9, I began kids classes in Latin and ballroom at the Trocadero Dance Studio, which is now Dancexcite. This was my first dance experienceand I enjoyed my classes, they were so much fun and I made many new friends.
About 3 years ago my Dance Instructor suggested that I should move to private lessons. It was a big step, as I would leave the group of friends that I had been dancing with for 4 years. Private lessons have given me more confidence and have motivated and inspired me to reach my personal best, and also to try new forms of dance such as ballet, rock and hip hop classes.
Working towards the Australian Dancing Society Examinations (A.D.S) medals twice a year and receiving the feedback from the A.D.S Examiner, and a trophy, is always exciting.
Performing in the end of year shows at various venues is something to look forward too. Learning new choreography for performance work and deciding on a stunning costume is always a highlight of the year.
I have been fortunate enough to be given a great opportunity to learn alongside such a great team, here at Dancexcite as a dance assistant. I have a lot to learn and there are so many exciting experiences ahead of me.
I am looking forward to inspiring and helping to make each lesson fun and showing you a great way to keep fit, and who knows where it could lead you too.
